ANOTHER WIN FOR 'THE PROPHET'... |

Its two awards in two days for our 2010 film 'The Prophet' this time picking up the prize of Best Documentary Featurette at the Red Rock Film Festival in Utah. THE PROPHET WINS IN BULGARIA... |

The draw of our 2010 film 'The Prophet' has gone down well with the panel of Bulgarian judges and picked up the prize of the Bansko Tourist’s Business Union for the film on alpine sport, exploration or adventure. MOONFLOWER GETS ITS FIRST REVIEW.... |

Have a read of the first review of this year's new film from Posing Productions; 'Moonflower' over at the Outdoorsmagic website. Pretty spot on we think; 'It's an absorbing, understated climbing film that mixes Lee's characteristically watchable production with a tone that's set by the climbers themselves, to give highly watchable results'. Can't argue with that.

ASGARD WINS MOUNTAIN PASSION AWARD.... |
|
The Cervino Mountain film festival is staged in northern Italy and is a special film festival exclusively for grand prize winners. The festival brings together the winning films of other festivals and awards the "Oscar of the Oscars" for the best mountain film of the year. The Asgard Project managed to pick up the 'Mountain Passion' award. Here's the jury's report - Prize "Montagne Passion" to The Asgard Project by Alastair Lee
'It's a cinematic and climbing experience at highest level, in which the young protagonists challenge extreme adventures in search of new limits. A great expertise and discipline emerge together with a sense of levity and fun that makes the film an interesting example of this cinematic genre. The construction of the film (photography, sound and editing) match perfectly the spirit of this extreme adventure.' Cervino Mountain Festival website.

We've just returned from a two week shoot in the Dolomites filming a TV commercial for Berghaus. Images and 'making of' clips to follow very soon. The shoot was filmed and directed Alastair Lee and proved to be a massive challenge but with the help of all the crew we just about nailed it. Anyone in the south Island of New Zealand between the 1st and 5th of July is in for a treat as its the New Zealand Mountain Film Festival held in the gorgeous location of Wanaka. There's a few films on from the Psyche II dvd and many other greats from the world's best mountain film makers.
